Talkative

Children with WBS have delayed speech development. They usually do not learn to speak until around the age of 3. Later in life, they tend to have remarkably well-developed spoken language and an extensive vocabulary. They talk a lot and like to talk. However, they often use words they have heard without really understanding them. As a result, many children with WBS are overestimated in their ability. Adults with WBS often rant excessively, ask irrelevant or inappropriate questions and have difficulty engaging in dialogue and anticipating what the other person is saying.
