Core data: Measurements

Example: Weights

In WaihonaPedia we are able to record measurements through score-cards app (example Growth-App-hackaton 2016)
Such a App will record the measurement in the ObservationClass of WaihonaPedia.

A example record of Birth Weight: (a Ratio measurement) in kg/gram/pounds ()

ObservationClass 0: RaiKoekkoek

  • PersonKey: RaiKoekkoek
  • odatetimestart: 2/November/1999 (date of Birth)
  • odatetimeend: [empty] (rule for observation at ONE moment)
  • oyears: [empty] (only for approximate observations)
  • omonths: [empty] (only for approximate observations)
  • odays: [empty] (only for approximate observations)
  • measureInterval: [empty] (weights are not measured as intervals)
  • measureNominal:  [empty] (weights are not measured as nominals)
  • measureOrdinal:   [empty] (weights are not measured as ordinals)
  • measureRatio: 2
  • withmilestone: Birth (database lookup from milestonetypes)
  • withtopic: Growth-Feeding (Weight can be used to observe this topic)
  • observationType: weight measurement (database lookup, this will also define the unit of measurement)
  • byRole: Dad (database lookup in Roles)

Use core data in questionairre

When added to a questionnaire we can use the numeric field type that equals the datatype of the observation (Interval, Nominal, Ordinal and Ratio)

But how can we at the same time use the data as a observation

  • Computed Field?
  • Listener
  • ...
