Bones and Skeleton

For parents, caregivers, health care providers, and teachers, concerns and questions often arise regarding the care and well-being of individuals with Marshall-Smith syndrome.

Bone and Skeleton problems

The bones of people with MSS age faster. As a result, they may break earlier.

People with MSS may have a growth disorder of the bones (dysostosis). Also, a curvature of the spine (scoliosis or kyphosis) is often possible and calcification (stenosis) of the vertebrae.
