Bones

 For parents, caregivers, health care providers, and teachers, concerns and questions often arise regarding the care and well-being of individuals with Marshall-Smith syndrome.

  • Lower bone density (osteopenia) and osteoporosis (osteoporosis) ->because of this, you have a higher risk of Bone fractures;
  • Lateral curvature of the spine (scoliosis) ;
  • Curvature of the upper part of the spine (kyphosis);
  • Abnormal bone maturation: in the hands and feet, the bones age faster;
  • Pain in joints (osteoarthritis).
