Losing baby teeth

Question

At what age did your children start losing their baby teeth? And how did they find the whole process?

Our daughter lost her two bottom ones last year when she was 5. One was hard to find bc we didn’t know it came out but we found it under the couch!

Our son is 12 yrs old and started loosing his teeth at around 5 years old. However, he hasn't lost many since they started falling out, he's only lost around 6 or so. His dentist and oral surgeon state that baby teeth are usually expelled by 13 years old, and that we will actually be coming up with a plan to remove all his baby teeth at once that are either not coming out or being wedged in by the adult teeth. We can see right now, in the last month or so that his canines are pushing out the front of his gums because his baby teeth won't budge.

Our daughter started losing teeth around 8 years old. Seemed pretty normal in comparison to my other child.

J. lost his a little later than a typical kid. He ended up getting the 2 front top teeth pulled after a basketball accident at school in PE (around age 6 or 7). It took forever for the front permanent teeth to come in. Then the dentist ended up pulling the last 4 baby teeth (under anesthesia) when he was 12 because they hadn't fallen out yet and they wanted the permanent teeth to come in.

I can’t remember but our daughter E. fell and knocked out her front tooth at school. That would have been secondary school as it was her adult tooth.. it’s amazing how the other front tooth has moved and there is absolutely no room at all for any extra teeth.. her side ones already look crowded and the teeth crowding on a small jaw I believe is an MSS problem, so it was possibly a blessing really.
